Between my apartment building and the river there’s a row of townhouses that, luckily for me, are low enough to allow a view from my windows. On the far side, the townhouses balconies jut out almost over the river. On the side facing my building, it’s not as exciting, though a few years back they added abstract metal artwork to provide security for the ground floor windows. Some of the townhouse owners/tenants have tried to spruce up their entrances, others have not. So they’re the same, but also different.
The other day, as I returned from a bike ride, I decided to take a few photos. Enjoy.

The design is a bit different near the middle of the row, where a walkway separates the townhouses and leads to the underground parking lot stairs.

You did it again! You brought out the unseen, or overlooked, that is in plain sight. Good insight.

Such variety among such sameness. They have no outdoor steps to get to street level? Lucky them! Our bldg has slippery steps and no ramp and some oww-ners really struggle. Busy day 27 today and 30 tomorrow. So hot to work from home without A/C. Last summer was not too hot but this one is not starting well. I guess it’s US to blame! Wanda

Yes, that’s what I thought was so interesting. And I agree they are lucky about the steps. 😊 I’m happy I have A/C here in Winnipeg now that it seems to be getting hotter earlier in the spring each year. 😊
