Hydro Poles Hold Up Clouds

I once worked up north in Saskatchewan, as a weather observer for Environment Canada, figuring out the type and height of the clouds, as well as taking readings for temperature, humidity, etc., making calculations, and sending that info to people back in Winnipeg, Manitoba, who used the data to forecast the weather.

So, my eyes are often drawn upwards to watch the clouds, as I wander about.

Manitoba has lots of lakes and rivers, and electricity is mostly produced from water movement in northern power stations. That’s why, what you might call an electricity bill, we call a hydro bill.

So it’s hydro poles holding up the clouds in these photos.

Enjoy!
