Things Sometimes Change

I’ve been taking photos from my balcony for years, many of them include the house and trees across the river.

One day, in early April this year, I noticed they were cutting down a tree near the house. Maybe it was damaged or diseased, I don’t know. Anyway, I decided to take some photos as they carried pieces of it away and I wondered how the view would be different from now on.

So, below are pictures of the tree cutting and what it looked like afterwards.

The sky was lovely that day.
This photo, and the one below, were taken in May, about a month after the tree was cut down.

The photos below were taken last year, in late April, 2023. Spring last year was much warmer than this spring, so it would have been greener than this year, but you can still see that the now missing tree made a difference.

The photo below was taken in late fall/early winter 2023. I wonder how things will look in fall and winter 2024 with that tree missing.
