The Adventures of Plump Cow – Season 3: The Love Story (featuring Snowy the Snowman) – Louella Lester

This is the third season in a series of graphic stories, which I photographed and wrote starting in 2015 or so.

I serialized each season of adventures by creating daily posts on Facebook.

They developed a bit of a following, haha, and I have now decided to put them together as blog posts on this website.

Enjoy Season 3!

As Plump Cow wound her new scarf about her neck, she had a feeling. She clomped out of the apartment, hopped into the car, and snapped on her seatbelt. She could hardly contain herself. “Something special is going to happen, I just know it.” After all, it was Valentine’s Day.

The car rolled to a stop and Plump Cow squeezed out the door. It was cold and snowy, so she was glad she had her scarf. From the corner of her eye she saw something move. At first she thought it was a big cow because it had cow-like markings, but it was too furry to be a cow. “Oh my God! It’s a huge cat!”  Plump Cow stood as still as she could, hoping the large cat would not notice her.

“Quick! Come up here. That cat won’t want to wade through the deep snow.” Plump Cow looked up and saw a snowman who was just her size.  “I don’t really want to wade through the snow either,” she said. But before she knew it she had waded in and jumped up. “Hi, my name is Snowy. Who are you?”  Plump Cow dipped her head and blushed, she could barely speak.

Plump Cow had never met anyone like Snowy before. It felt so natural to be with him. After the cat left they wandered across the yard to watch the birds at the feeder. They marvelled at the bird footprints and wing prints in the snow. They chatted and giggled as though they had known each other for years. And they made snow angels.

After they finished making the snow angels, Snowy gently brushed the snow off Plump Cow’s back. Then they strolled towards the frozen creek bank. Even when they weren’t talking, it felt so comfortable, so right.

Snowy and Plump Cow quickly grew closer and closer, so it seemed natural when Snowy asked Plump Cow to come into the outdoor porch and meet his family. Plump Cow was nervous at first, but Snowy’s family members were all warm, welcoming, and open-minded when it came to interspecies dating.

After the family visit, Snowy noticed that Plump Cow was shivering. “We should go indoors, so you can warm up.” Plump Cow was worried it might be too warm for Snowy, but he reassured her that he would pop outside when he needed to cool down. Plump Cow’s heart was all aflutter and so was Snowy’s. One thing led to another. (X-rated section. Use your imagination here.)

When Plump Cow woke up, Snowy was not there. Then she heard a weird gurgling noise and she galloped to the kitchen. “Oh no! What’s happening, Snowy?” she shouted. Snowy whispered, “I’m melting, try and get me to the door…” Plump Cow, grabbed at Snowy, but he fell into mush from her arms. Soon there was nothing solid left, except his hat.

Plump Cow’s tears mingled with what was left of her lover, Snowy. She thought she would never stop crying. “How will I get over this? My heart is broken,” she whispered to Snowy’s hat. Then she turned to the door.

Before she went down the steps, Plump Cow turned back one last time, imagined Snowy waiting for her there. She never even noticed the cat mocking her through the window. “I must go on and make Snowy proud! I will!” She headed to the car and back to the city.

The end…for now…
